Quartet Purple at UVic November Convocation Ceremonies 2022

Looking polished, sounding superb - well done Purple!

In addition to performing the National Anthem, the Quartet accompanied the processions and provided background music to the great satisfaction of faculty, staff and the audience. Fall convocation, November 9 & 10, 2022, was held at the University's Farquhar Auditorium. Many thanks to Dr. Con for coordinating the Quartet's involvement.

Congratulations to Cole Davis, Concerto Competition Concert

Concertino da Camera by Jacques Ibert

with Maestro Giuseppe

Cole, a 4th Year Performance Major, gave a masterful performance of the Concertino, a well-known composition from the standard concert repertoire. The concert - at the UVic Farquhar Centre Auditorium - was well attended. Cole received a well deserved standing ovation from the audience. Congratulations Cole!

Many thanks to Maestro Pietraroia, Conductor of the University of Victoria Orchestra for this season, and Conductor-in-Residence for both Pacific Opera Victoria and the Victoria Symphony. Maestro Pietraroia is a saxophonist who has himself performed the Ibert Concertino. Thank you, Maestro (Joey), for a brilliant performance!

And, many thanks to Concertmaster Noah Mellemstrand and the chamber orchestra members for their outstanding performance and support for Cole. Well done!
